I know exactly where that pic was taken! I grew up in that neighborhood--right in front of what used to be Strauss but is now Advance on Fresh Pond.

It sounds like it will be an awesome road trip. Take plenty of pictures and most importantly have a safe drive!

Jake,

You have a small hole in your muffler and trunk floor. Please open skipass a bit more.

Can you stop for bacon, egg, and cheese croissant too!

you did do a great job at the tape though. how long did it take you? i would angle the sides more by the front doors to make it flow. like have it angle down towards the side skirt so its not a giant square. that also will cover more areas for rocks
WHY did you put masking tape on your car? Non car people want to know...

I love using Waze! I have used it on every long drive I've taken since I downloaded it a few months ago. Apparently Facebook is actually considering purchasing it. Anyway, have a safe trip and I will see you soon!

Waze is awesome, it's around 90% accurate for police reports by me.

Does Waze simply help guide you through or around traffic? I'm not up to date on all this techno-giz. I just drive the old fashioned way--with my eyes.

It's a social driving/traffic/navigation app. In addition to turn-by-turn directions, it will also give you live updates on traffic, accidents and other road hazards. It sources it's data from the radar traffic monitors on most freeways and the thousands of other Waze users.

For the most part, it's pretty solid for getting you around traffic. However the other day when I was driving through LA after coming back from SF, it sent me straight into gridlock 3 times. I had to use surface streets navigate around the traffic congestion.

I only use it on long drives where I need directions and an ETA, otherwise I prefer to drive free of distractions.

I have found the police reporting in the app to be one of it's strong points. It's so good that I think I'll be able to feel safe when I send my V1 in for an update soon.

It a GPS program.....except its user oriented. People can put real time reports of traffic accidents, police, road debris, etc...it also monitors ure speed automatically so it can show u traffic jams through the use of colors on the screen. It uses users speeds to determine wether traffic is flowing smoothly or super slow in certain areas.

Jake, BTW, this thread would be even more epic with updates and pics from the road. I'm sure that's in the works. Use the SLR, scale down the JPG, pop the chip in your laptop and upload. (assuming you can tether your phone) OR you can just use your phone to to take/upload ...
