Wheels help

Hi,
Would wheels from a non 330xi fit directly on to a 2005 330xi? For example, 18" ZHP wheels, or even the various 17" sport wheels which I believe are ET46?

Wasn't sure if the xi had something special that prevented the use of other wheels from other e46's.

Thanks!

being AWD you dont want to run a staggered setup with different wheel diameter but some have done it and it turned out fine.
I think they will mount.

OK thanks. So I can run ET46 wheels of the same offset?

Non Xi E46 wheels will fit on the Xi with no issues. You'll want to pay attention to the tire size and keep the rolling radius as close to a match as possible. Due to this need most Xi drivers choose to go with squared wheels and utilizes spacers to flush out everything on all four corners.

OK, thanks.
So the stock setup on a XI in 17" format is 205/50/17 right?
Also, should I be running 7Jx17 or 8Jx17 all around?

Thanks!
Mike

Correct. I have stock 17" and they are 205/50/17 rim is a 7Jx17. On an 8in rim, you would most likely run 215 or 225. I'm not sure of the exact range.

I'd suggest a 225/45/17 on a 17x8. For a 17x7 you could also run this tire size as it's at the lower edge of the optimal wheel width range.
