Retrofit z4 Nav?!?!

I've been thinking about this for a little bit after test driving the new z4 with nav. It has a popup one on the dash, and it looks pretty sweet. I wonder if we can retro this into the e46 sedan. The slope of the dash is similar to our dash, you'd have to cut into the dash, but it would be sweet!

i'd just get the housing and then get a separate monitor from pioneer, the touchscreen one. This is the best of both worlds because it isn't too low, and it doesn't block the vents.

Anybody done this?

It's a sweet idea but it would require customization up the ying yang and I think many of us would get woozy of the idea of cutting up our dashes.

That would be the craziest thing I've ever seen done on a e46, if I had the know how and the time to do something like that, I would deffiently do so. There's nothing under there except for a a/c duct, I don't think space would be a problem.
