Congrats on the new ride.

Thanks guys! With the spacers widening the profile, the painted front/rear reflectors sourced from IND/EAS (...bye bye orange and red reflectors), the aero pieces that I'm considering and possibly wheels (..if I can find a set that actually complement the vehicle rather than making it look gaudy.....any suggestions?), this will be a nice lil ride for the next 2-3 years. I'm having it coded this week with all of the bells & whistles too.

It won't be a mom car with a nice Ducati Panigale or BMW S1000RR attached to the back. That makes it all worthwhile IMHO. In the past I've had to borrow Chad/Tiff's Jeep, hitch rides with control riders and/or another officer who tracks/races her bike (...or ride my bike to the track with my ex-gf following me in the 1-series, making multiple trips to pick up supplies/tools/etc.). Such a pain in the ass.

Not sure what model HREs these are, but I'm liking these on 330 ZHPs X5

Those are a clean set of wheels that I'd definitely consider. I love his front bumper too, but alas....I don't have an X5M (..so I can't use that lip either).

Thanks man!

Yeah, I was seriously considering the 2013 RRS. I borrowed one for a day, and it was nice, but I just couldn't get on with it (... and I don't like Toureg's or X6's). I know that I'd eventually want to mod (..I have bad habits), and knowing my fickle nature, this X5 won't last 3 years. I have better connections at BMW and Porsche (..it's easier for me to move through cars) than I do at Range.

lol yeah I see where you're coming from. If I couldn't mod my car, I'd be so board with it and wan't to sell it. I hope I can keep my M3 with me as long as possible. I regret selling my other car so much haha I wan't to start a little collection of cars hopefully. How is the pickup in the X5? The only x5 i've driven in was a 4.6is and that thing hauled ass but I think the old ones were a little lighter then this one.

Just kidding.

I'd rock an x5 - especially a modded one.

Well the previous 4.6is was essentially an ///M SAV without a true ///M badge, so yeah, that thing was a beast. The 3.5i Performance Package truck that I have is essentially a 335is in a heavier shell (..OEM Performance tune that bumps HP/TQ). The pick-up is good (..it isn't underpowered IMHO), but it's no speed relic. If I step on the gas it goes adequately. The good thing is that it is turbo, so if I really get thirsty for power, I have plenty of options. I've already been looking at tunes, downpipes, brakes and wheels. I think this thing will burn a hole in my pocket over the next 6 months just from modifications. Good thing is that I broke even on my M3 after 2.5 years and nearly 40,000 miles. I owed high 40's on the car and basically got what I owed. I can't really complain!

I know how you feel. I went through 3 M3s and it was time to move on to bigger and better. IYou should have picked up a GT3 man, there's nothing like it....it's a damn go-kart on steroids... I've seen nice 07s in the 70s but now that the 991 came out in PDK prices blipped up a bit. I'll finally be putting up my M3 for sale since I barely ever drive it now.
