Vanos Seal Kit

Can someone tell me what comes in the Beisan vanos seal kit. looking at the picture, it seems for $60 you get 10 gaskets/O-rings in total:

Two seal rings from each piston groove, total of four rings for each piston (2 pistons, total 8 seal rings), and 2 piston cap O-rings.

It does not seem like the Vanos to engine gasket is included, please let me know if I am correct in this thinking. Some of you have done this repair before, let me know what you recieved with the kit, what additional parts you had to purchase.

On a side not, I just did my VCG approximately 1 month ago, can I reuse the VCG or do I need to get a new one. I just have a diesel like sound under the hood, and I am sure this repair has never been done.

Get a new VCG and do it again IMO... especially if you used a VicRiens gasket and not OEM or Goestke... It's only 20 bucks and could avoid you a lot of hassle.

Maybe look into getting the rattle kit also, even though it's a way tougher job than just the seals... You most likely will need it.

Vanos housing to block/head gasket is NOT include, however cheap from dealer. Cannot be reused.

You CAN reuse the valve cover gasket though

Here's the said vanos gasket (wrapped one in the pic below)

Did you order from Beisan, what was your total out the door for the kit, shipping and all?

Yeah, you need that VANOS gasket. Buy it separately. Also, buy an X-acto knife. You will need it to remove the old O-rings. Do not try to pull them out with an O-ring pick. They need to be cut carefully.
