BMW chrome grill is what stands out on the car, black grill is cheap looking and classless.

heres a side by side pic of black vs chrome grills. This should put all you chrome grill loving people to shame. Id like to see who here would choose the chrome over black.

As far as I'm concerned both look pretty bad. The cf hood flows with nothing and I don't have enough energy to get into the abomination on the right.

well I think my cf hood looks cool. at least that's what everybody I meet says. I know there are people out there who don't like the CF unpainted look, but most commented on the fact that the CF on my car doesn't stick out as being out of place. the car's color helps the CF blend in, making the hood compliment the car rather than just sticking out. maybe the photo doesn't do it any justice but in person, it does look cool.

so, since you don't like both the black or chrome grills, what kind of grill do you have? let me guess, no grill. your car looks toothless.

I prefer chrome in general though the black kidneys certainly doesn't look bad on that grey 325 on the first page.

i dont mind the chrome at all either if the window trim is chrome. for myself personally it had to be black as the kidneys were the only thing chrome on the entire exterior lol.

I like the chrome if you have stock corners, otherwise I'd black them out. And black out chrome trim if you have it

That's a pretty cheap argument against chrome grills, don't you think?

Personally I think the entire insert chromed out looks bad. I prefer just the lip.

yeah i know i know. that was a cheap shot at chrome grills. i always felt chrome is out of style. black does have a "cheap" but "aggressive" look to it, or at least abs plastic does. its because when people see abs unpainted black plastic, they usually see it on some car part that was supposed to be painted but wasn't. hence where the stereotype began about it looking cheap.

Nothing against chrome, but I like my matte black kidneys. I've also vinyl'ed the window trim in matte black.

My car is on the first page of this thread. I'll warn you now, it's not riced out so you may not like it.

I had black in my TIAG (silver) coupe. Have left the chrome ones in my Orient Blue sedan.
