Nothing like a new (used) car lol.

Car was paid for in full. 135k on the clock. Tires shot front and rear. Some one really negolected this one . Brake almost gone . Check engine tight on,front pass strut bend to hell. So it needs a lot of love and care. Smg don't want to shift in hi rpms. Rear subframe crack, all bushings bad. So I got my work cut out. If anyone know any local shop for the rear subframe welding that be cool. So cal. Thanks

Sounds like a very rough car and a potential money pit....hopefully you didn't pay very much.
Good luck.

Thank you. Got it for 6. All ready spend little over 2500. In parts. New h&r coil overs, shim kit, gps for the trans, new tires all around ,valves are done , they where 0.08 of on #3 and#6. Car sound much better now. I should be able to fix all the issues total of under 12k. Then I know the car is legit, plus I love projects.

Well, it sounds you got a really good deal considering that you don't mind putting in the time and effort. I would have been a little worried about the sub-frame crack though, but considering my cars never see triple digit speed limits, it wouldn't bother me too much. Headlights though? Hopefully it's something minor like a bulb or ballast. Electrical problems intimidate me more than mechanical problems. What condition is the body in?

I upload a pic in the album. Exterior is very clean. That's why I got it the only thing I find out later was the subframe. The smg problem I know about it and all the other issues. It's a awesome looking M3.

Looks nice for the price, please post sub frame damage pics if possible as it could be a major issue.

I am guessing it was owned by someone who cared more about mods than maintenance because I see:

1. Eagle eye tails (dark ring around the housing, dead giveaway)
2. Replaced rear diffuser
3. Fog light rings
4.Possibly exhaust mods

Keep us up to date on the progress, and welcome to the forum.

Car was really neglected as far as staying on top of things. But now it's my car. I will love it and give it everything it needs. I will take all the pics and progress on the m3. Including the sub frame problem before and after . And everything between.

He was asking 9800. Car sounded like a semi truck i cant even descraibe how owful is sound it. is salvage title. Didn't seem like it was in a wreck. But if I new about the subframe problem I'm sure I could get it for $5500. But yes it was a good deal am not complaining.

Thanks (: I did last week and it was all off 0.04-0.08. Pretty lose. Anyhow I did it and it help a lot. Motor sounds healthy. It took me almost 6 hr. I didn't have the shim tool. So did it the hard way. And I don't know if they change the rod bearings. I hope they did. But to way the car was taking care of. I don't think it was preform. ):

Check Carfax for dealership and give them a call to see if they might have a record. Worth a shot.
