They told me that the fuel tank breather valve is at the end/ back of the car.

That's where I think it's located as well. Was quoting ECS part description.

The part number on my paper they printed is
# 13901433603

And from that part number it looks like the EVAP purge valve which is in the engine.
But they called it the fuel tank breather valve.

Is that what they meant ? Or is it the one in the rear?

No, that's the correct part number for the Fuel Tank Breather Valve.

Okay just to clarify is it a part to go inside the engine or back in the tank?

According to ECS Valve is between charcoal canister and throttle body.
This is the valve that sends the fumes from the fuel tank to the throttle body to be burned.

If this valve fails you'll receive a check engine lamp. Still not sure on location but don't think it's in the tank. Gonna look around on mine later to see if I can find it. Did your shop replace it yet?

Re: E46 stalls and no power

This happened to me one time, it was my MAF sensor. Happened again one time, and it a misfire, I guess because it was parked for a long time.

No I just took it to get my car checked out and they said it was the fuel tank breather valve(which I'm assuming is the EVAP purge valve) and the SAP
but I'm planning on changing it myself.

So is this the exact part?
Because I'm confused between the fuel tank breather valve and EVAP purge valve.

Just swapped the EVAP purge valve (Fuel tank breather valve) and also inspected the DISA and cleaned the idle control valve and throttle body.

Any suggestions to my problem here?

I cleared my codes last night and so far all I have are:
P0430
P0174
P0171
P1085

I have replaced fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plugs, EVAP purge valve
Cleaned: Mass Air Flow sensor, Idle control valve and Throttle body

I also noticed that my precat o2 sensor is covered in oil (possibly from VCG).
Was going to change my VCG this weekend and going to order new o2 sensor right after.

Any suggestions?
