Lightbulb Strobe Lights

I was thinking about adding a police strobe light set up to my car or my M3 when i get it. What do you e46 fanatics think? and are there any mechanical drawbacks to adding this system?

I did them, I have a Whelen kit. two in the front turn signals and 4 in the rear brake lights. I don't have a video yet, and I'd go take one, but it's pouring outside.

http://www.galls.com

about $300 for the whole set.

I installed them myself, took about 6 hours including hooking up 3 switches. 1 for the fronts, 1 for the rears and 1 to change the flash pattern.

Don't wanna step on ant fellow E46er's toes, but we have nice classy cars why ruin them? I don't get putting strobes under a Bimmer. I mean what kinda cars do you normally see with Strobes? Hondas, Acuras, Mustangs. How often do you see an Audi or a Benz with strobes? Don't do it...

used to use them in my cars when I was an EMT. I designed and built a really cool remote switch/relay system and a crazy light show for my Isuzu Trooper...

I do miss having the lights and sirens, now...

you almost NEEEEED strobes for night shows.... unless you get a good spot to park at. otherwise no one willl loook at your car since it doesn't attract any attention at night.

strobes are good for show cars but if you like them on your car and it makes you feel good then there isnt any problem with them. it is your choice when they are on. you could have a bone stock bmw with strobes and you would never know it had strobes unless you turned them on. i have seen chips and they are ****ing cool if you ask me. i wouldnt spend the money on them right now but maybe down the road it would be a fun little project
