Jimmy,

I was at the auction when you were buying it over the phone. I thought you had paid too much (cos they never listed how many kms it had done).

if I was you, id return it ALL to stock. then make a proper advert on carsales with good quality pictures.

I would also be asking 50+ cos that's what its worth any day of the week for that year and kms...

lol at the people that think he shouldn't make a profit on a bargain buy

m3 for sale :=(

If you go the route of parting out I'd be interested in the exhaust.

Thx raj. Yea I was a little worried about the kms but was a gamble and it luckily paid off. I'm aware that if it was classed as a repairable write off its not worth that. But 33-37 grand honestly that's just as bad as ny $150 offer. I just chucked it on eBay to see if I get any bites when I'm certain I want to sell it I will take better photos and put on carsales.

Why would you sell such a nice car?
I'm sure if you can afford that car you can afford to keep it whilst saving for a home?

Be honest, what's wrong with the car? Haha
You got bored of it? Or is there a problem you're worried about?

I don't think this car is registered as a write off vehicle.

Some just don't (as e36 m3 that i wrecked).

Jimmy s car had a burnt interior....not even whole one, just driver seat, door trim an bit on the rear. No structural damage or body damage from what I could see

GLWS!

No reason you can't make a profit on a car that you buy and repair. You are selling the "Great White Buffalo" / Unicorn. You will get lots of tyre kickers and dreamers but when you are serious and list it properly, it will go quickly.

well I can afford to keep it but would just be easier if I sold it and put the money towards a house, I own the car I didn't finance it. So I might just keep it for now, had a few phone calls but all not really interested

If the auctions invoice paper doesn't state km's traveled you can throw in any cluster you wish to rectify the issue.

Hey Jimmy, you have genuine BMW service papers (matched with the VIN #) to back up the low km's right?

If you do and it shows up all clear on a PPSR check:

It still has a history that will need to be explained if someone pics up that the interior isn't as per delivery and the wear doesn't match the kms on the clock.

Listing you're a non smoker is a little contradictory to the fact the interior had caught on fire..?

No one wants to make a loss on a sale, but parting it out as previously suggested then listing it appropriately should bring real interest.

As white is rare, you don't want to have it advertised for a long time as people will suspect something is wrong and inclined to either overlook it or complete a more in depth search.

Have you personally paid for a REVS search to see what it states, as it would be a killer to your creditability if the true history is listed.
