Get real.....you're just jilted because it raises the price of the game console you want to buy. How does adding profit dollars into the hands of someone who sells a console providing nothing to the economy?

Exactly. How is this different from currency traders looking for arbitrage in the global market? This is called arbitrage and it is a well known principle of trading and it equalizes supply and demand, and thus price.

Freaking communists all of you that disagree with this approach.

I bet you can make money now buy selling the order placed on amazon for the launch day package!

"for sale, I will ship the launch day package PS4/Xbone to your door(via edit shipping) for 900$!"

profit

I don't think the PS4/Xbox One will have the same kind of launch day demand as the PS3/360 did. Back then, they couldn't manufacture them fast enough to fill shelves for the first couple weeks and people where paying 2x the retail price to get their hands on a system. This time around, manufacturing has improved and demand doesn't seem as high. I'm sure you will be able to walk into a Best Buy first week of launch and have an PS4 on the shelves. Sony/MS won't make the same mistake they did with their last launch. The Wii U was available on the shelf just a few days after launch.

Anyone do this for the PS3? Thought about it back then, but remember threads on here about it not being very profitable or the demand not being there.

I preordered a ps4 at bestbuy, it says I can pick it up on December 31st. Is this the official release date? I thought they were being released before Christmas?

I've got one, but making an extra $100 here and there never hurts

We have real jobs, which is why we can afford to tie up ~$400 to make a few hundred on those who don't have jobs but want the latest gaming system for their kid at Christmas. I will sleep fine at night.

Preorder PS4/X1 now and sell for double at Xmas

My time is worth more than 100 bucks to go through the process. This is how ammo prices went through the roof. Yes it's a gun thread now!

Back in the ps2 days I made 175 on top of the regular asking price. I had a friend make double the asking price. It's really crazy how bad people"need" the latest and greatest.

It's nothing like currency trading..Ever been to a sporting event or concert with tickets purchased through Ticketmaster? You pay a premium over face value ticket because of a false monopoly. It's fending for scraps, simply put IMO it's a trade for broke d1cks.

My brother preordered 3 PS3s. Picked them all up launch day and sold 2 of the 3. Both sold for right around 2000. That's over 3 grand in profit for doing nothing other than putting down 5 dollars to be on a list.

There WILL be crazy demand for these things and they will be selling for well over 1000 bucks a pop (if not more).

Exactly what I mean.

I'm praying that they ramp up and meet demand from launch. You poor losers will be sitting on system you don't want.

If they aren't selling for a premium, I'm not stuck with anything. It ships to me for free and I can return it for free with Amazon Prime

Sounds like the kind of guy who doesn't have the time to bend over and pick up a $20 bill blowing down the sidewalk.
