Sounds about like what my dad says too haha, also a motto of mine, I like taking time and not rushing, doing it right the first time is better than half assing it 3 times lol..

Next weekend I will be setting time aside for it though, don't give a **** whats going on, I'm making this install happen, I can't take the radio anymore lol.

Thanks man! I love the idea, simple since I already have the tab and amp, just needed speakers and some wiring. Hell the bezel is the most expensive part for me lol

As saturday draws closer, my SD card fills up haha, I have about 10gb's of music on it right now, and I'm remembering old bands I used to love and getting discographys and just throwing one after another on. I had like 60gb's of music on my old laptop, and yea I actually did listen to it all.

One question... will you have a tuner, or will it only have downloaded music?

No components in the rear, only the front, the rear are the exact same speaker, only coax versions. I think I'll have to modify the speaker covers just slightly since they stick up farther than normal. I'll find out in 2 days haha.

I got it done!!!! ****ing 11 hour install between pulling, wiring, fabbing and ****. I'm beat I just got home after a 2 hr drive. Enjoyed the music, however I hardwired my USB cord wrong.. and my tablet will not charge in the car.. so I have to look at that again..

But All the speakers fit great in the OEM cups, the rears will need a lot more trimming to sit flush though, I just didn't have the time. I will update with pics tomorrow

How do you control the volume?

Volume is controlled with a widget on screen, once I get the tablet charging properly from the car, I have it set to never "sleep" while plugged in, so it wont turn off and go dark or anything like that.

You can also use an inline RCA connected volume control, they are like 8$. I dont feel the need though since the widget is right there on screen.

If you look at my tab screenshot on this page you'll see a little square that says music with two arrows, thats volume control, I have since changed it for a different better looking one.

Ahh. Wouldn't it have been easier to use the existing speaker wiring? I'm not sure what running new wires gets you.

I no longer have any oem HK components it's all gone. I am running the speakers directly to my 700w 5ch kicker amp. The HK amp is not sufficient to run upgraded speakers properly I feel. Also I have complete control over tuning the speakers to how I want.
