Can I change from rain sensing ...

windshield wiper system to a normal one with just delay? If so, how can I accomplish this?

Also, do I need to reprogram my computer for this?

It can be done. Yes, you will need to reprogram the computer. Not sure if the stalk is the same with and without rain sensing. Do you have the 4 position variable delay on the stalk? If it's not there then there may be a wire that will need to be added.

If you simply unplug the rain sensor (or the fuse for it) you'll have normal delayed wiping. You will lose the light sensor though. You can also reprogram the LCM to not use the rain sensor if you want. That way you can keep auto lights.

Thats nice to know, I've got bubbles in between the sensor and windshield on the car so mine dosen't really work... I have really ****ing fast and way to ****ing fast as far as delay goes. Anyone have any suggestions on replacing the rain sensor? I've heard I need a new windshield altogether to fix it.

Not too keen on reprogramming the LCM but that sounds like the way to go compared to the other methods mentioned. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll post back with my results.

I have changed my broken windshield at Pilkington, locally and, despite I thought also that it comes with a new sensor, it has just a frame, where the sensor is fixed...therefore, it can be replaced, not with too much hassle, by what I have seen in their workshop...you will have to remove its cover and to take it easy, not breaking anything. Check realoem about sensor price although, you might just need to clean the glass, in that area, and reconnect the sensor...

Oh dude, easy solution! All you need is some thin wire, patience, and clear silicone sealant.
