I'd like to try to go as well... It's about an hour north of me. I missed it last year.

I wouldn't say its a tailgating atmosphere but you can have a cooler, not sure about alcohol though. I doubt it.

I would say IKEA, Baltimore Avenue, College Park, MD would be the best place to meet up with the caravan.

Probably.. I havent decided if I'm going to do the whole trip from VaBeach Saturday or meet up in Richmond. You can add me to the list, though.

Meeting in Richmond is what I'll likely do. Easier for me. I don't have to fux with bumpy ass Hampton roads.

I posted the schedule on the bimmerfest site and some of the owners in RIC asked if there was a stop in Richmond?

Quote:
Lets add this then... Everyone in the RIC area can meet up at Virginia Center Commons at 6:15-6:30am (exit 84B on I-95) then drive up to Ladysmith to meet with the others. (23miles)
I was thinking those that are in the Richmond area can meet up there and then rendezvous with the caravan at Ladysmith. I don't think it's necessary to stop at Va Center Common because according to Google maps its approx. 1:30min from Walmart Norfolk to VA Center Commons which will put the Tidewater are behind?

Of course! Last year people brought coolers and grills and it was like a big block party. They sell alcohol but save your money and bring your own. Cops do walk around the parking lot though so just be responsible.

So what's it gonna be. 445 leaving Hampton or 530? In seeing 2 different times. I see this group with talks of meeting up on 95. And another leaving straight from the 757 to the event at 445. Don't even know which way they're driving.

Myself and a few others were talking about meeting up on 95 just north of Richmond at that rest stop. I'd rather that. The more the merrier. However. I think leaving HR at 445 is the better idea.

Yeah.. I just booked a room for Saturday night, haha. $65 at Swan Lake Inn on APG, 20min from the stadium. Gotta love military benefits.
