Switched 12vdc in teh trunk?

Anybody know if/where I can get (ignition) switched 12vdc power from in the trunk? I just need to power a small device that pulls like 750ma.

My car is wired for a CD changer, but I dont have one, so if that info helps...

I'm confused.

Have you looked to see if the wiring for the CD changer has switched-power.

HINT
Most of the switched power wires are RED/WHT. Some are other colors, usually RED with a stripe of another color.

The problem you will have is that many of these wires come out of a controller of some sort, and adding an amp to the load might not be appreciated by the circuit. You can test for switched or not easily enough with a volt meter.

There are lots of constant hots in the trunk, starting with the battery.

That why I thought I would use the switched power for the CD changer. With no load (CD changer) on it, Im sure it would handle 750ma.

Or a test light...this I know. Im looking for the LOCATION of said possible sources.

Cant use constant, but be switched with the ignition.
