Question E46 Tie Rod Assy M vs non-M

I was wondering if anyone knows why there are different part numbers (and pricing) on M tie rod assemblies and non-M tie rod assemblies. The pictures of the parts look the same and I have looked at installed assemblies on M and non-M cars and they look the same. Thanks.

Plug in you car information and search. At a quick glance, there are indeed different part numbers for the M3 and the 330 sedan for example.

Thanks LeMansteve, I appreciate the feedback; already been to realoem, yes part numbers are different. I think I need to re-phrase the question:

Does anybody know what the difference is between E46 non-M tie-rod assemblies and M tie-rod assemblies? Thanks.

I don't know. You might try asking some vendors like ECS or Turner.
