Proper sealants to use after washing

The BMW manual says to apply a "convertible top impregnating spray. I guess a sealant of sorts every 5 times after washing the VERT.

Anyone know what and where to find this types are products???

I have had other convertibles and used a scotch guard product to
spray on it but that was decades ago.

How do members keep the fabric waterproof after years of having it.

Mine is a 2002 and the original top. Would like to buy some spray to use
and keep from having to replace it.

Any suggestions would be great....thanks

I've used something called 303 Hi-Tech Fabric Guard, a spray. Clean /wash the convertible top well, let dry out of the sun, and when you are sure it is fully dry, apply that product and let dry. The water 'pearls' instead of soaking in after using it. Good luck!

I agree on the 303 product. It's fun to watch the water bead off of it. Cheaper than Raggtop. Not sure how Raggtop could work any better than this stuff.
