white would look horrible imo since your car isn't aggressive at all.

black roof would look ok but I wouldn't dip your wheels black if I were you.

You need to make your car more aggressive first. All of this is just my opinion.

And whatever you do don't use spray cans to do the roof please!

So you plan on going to Lowes/Home Depot, buying Plasti-Dip, then spraying it onto your car? Oh........

No, at a paint shop. What can I do to make it aggressive?

Might just do the black top then & just keep the rims clean

By aggressive, he means body work, wheels, etc. the problem is that cars look funny with strange paint schemes if they otherwise look "stock".

Just trying to help

Yea what he said. And ignore the people being rude. Just douchebags on the internet. Most people start off with bad ideas (what society sees as bad ideas) and the forum is to help you steer clear of those ideas haha (as well as other things).

To make it more aggressive you should first lower the car, get nice wheels, and then more aggressive body parts (bumpers, side skirts, trunk). imo

Overall I think your car would look fine with a matte black roof the way the car is now. Just make sure you do the roof right so it's not streaky!

Welcome to the forum haha

Yea but can't find the right body kit for this e46 with out it looking like a *****. Want something that still gives a real nice stock work on it or just go with some lip add on & sides.

Well there's like three main "body kits" that most people go with that aren't ricey. Unless you consider the M3 set up on a non M3 ricey. I don't think it is, but different strokes for different folks.

Anyways, here's some options.

mtech 2 front bumper

mtech 2 front bumper with arqray lip

Plasti dip White or Black top?

If you have to paint the roof, go black. Never white. I wouldn't recommend plasti dip. I had my trim, corner lights, turn signals, taillights, grill, and moldings done with Plasti dip. It looks okay but I don't like the texture and every time I go through delta sonic, I have to wipe away stubborn Plasti dip specs that must be getting washed off, onto my fenders, hood, and wheels.

a white roof might look good on his blue car if he was slammed with some white wheels. imo

Lmao, white roof? Want it to look like a Mini Cooper of Toyota FJ cruiser? In my honest opinion, black roofs only look good on black or white cars. White would just look tacky on a none white car.

But that car can pull it off because of the stance and the body modifications that make it look more sporty. A bone stock E46 (coupe or sedan) would look silly with white wheels/roof.

I can't tell you how many people have made me SMH when they send me a message saying "hey it looked good on your car so i (insert mod that on an otherwise stock car looks goofy)".

Don't plastidip it, gloss black wrap would be best choice IMO
