Question Transporting fireworks from PA to NY

So i did this many years ago, around 2006-2007. Bought from somewhere in PA(many of you probably know where), and brought it back to NY. in Long Island(western nassau county), we used up all of it(bought hundreds of dollars worth), and no cops ever showed- my guess is, they're more laid back about it than in the city?

also, to the original point: i know the risks of bringing it back. my question is, if i am stopped for a 'traffic violation', and do NOT consent to ANY search, can they summon a K9 unit to do a sniff? am i allowed to refuse that as well? just nervous as i heard on the radio some time ago that NJ and NY troopers were cracking down on fireworks buyers...

you refuse a search, you raise suspicion.....nxt thing you know the SWAT team is at the scene and you will be plastered on every new cast across the nation.

we live in a diff world. Just last month (memorial day wkend), someone left an abandoned car on the Brooklyn Bridge, they shut down the bridge, and news copters were all over the scene.

not worth the risk, carrying that stuff across state lines is equally as bad as carrying explosives.....and you'll be pinned as a terrorist imo. I've also been told cops prey in the parking lots of those places, just waiting for out-of-state buyers to bring them across.

dont be nervous i got pulled over this morning and they wanted to search my car i refuse the cop got a little upset and said he was goign to write me a bunch of tickets. He thought i was going to cave in i said go ahead i will fight it anyway school is off i just said make sure you come to court he caved in. Police just want to try to make you pave in or scare you. And you really think police will call swat team on someone resisting a search?? do you know how many people resit search everyday cops usely write them a bunch of tickets or keep you waiting for hours. you have a right to resist a search. If they do summon a k9 unit which can happen idk what to tell you but lol my friend said he was muslim and doesnt consent of dogs in his car and and he claimed it work idk about all that i wasnt there i have to read into that i do know that dogs cant touch a muslim prayer clothes but thats another subject just obey the law and you wont get caught

^^ There's the proof . One more thing worth noting is there are multiple agencies which are teaming up together to make this happen. So.. if you happen to elude one, you can still be caught by another...........

not now bro, dont waste your time, what they are doing, is that they are going to locations such as phantom fireworks etc, watching the plates, and will follow you back, they will notify such authorities prior to arrival such as a the bridges and tunnels, and you will be pulled over, then you know how the rest will play out

Cobra, you must be kidding. Hippies are way more libertarian. NYC is run by a bunch of Gordon Gecko type prissy mama's boys. Hippies wouldn't let cops tell you to empty your pockets & then let them arrest you for publicly displaying your bacalola.
Bloomberg a hippie...!?! This used to be a fun town....

Come to Sands Casino Saturday night dressed in a hawaiin shirt and shorts. Park on the sixth floor because there are no cameras near the south-side stairwell. I will be sitting at a blackjack table wearing a sombrero. Sit down to my left and wait for the opportunity for me to double down and offer to place my bet for me. I will decline and leave the table. Wait one minute, play one more hand and meet me between the fifth and sixth floor stairwell near where you parked and we can commence our deal.

Should've bought 'em earlier OP, so you wouldn't have to worry about this.

Do this. Get said fireworks, drive and stop for lunch. Then take a nice trip back home. No cop will wait while you eat to see if your going to cross back into NYS

Should have went a few weeks ago, and dont goto phantom go further out west to the mom and pop wholesalers for cheaper pricing and no cops sitting in the parking lots looking at plates.

Out of curiosity, is there any legal way to do this? If you had a pyro license are you legally allowed to purchase/transport?

Times really change. When I was a kid on Fire Island, my best friend's dad & 2 uncles were NYC cops. They had fireworks every 4th. When the Suffolk County cops came around, they just stepped to the side for a little talk, and then we continued with the show!
My family supplied the sparklers....

I just came back from vacation in Virginia and brought back a bunch of works.. The way to do it now is to go with 2 cars , load up the "bait car" meet the "other car "at Taco bell or walmart ,whatever. Switch the works to other car , wait a few hrs and head home. bait car gets nailed with nothing, and Other car goes home with the works . DONE!!
