Arrow Photos of My New 997!!! It has Finally Arrived

Hey guys,

So after looking for the "right" 997 for well over a year, I came across this car one recent morning and bought it the same day. As of just three days ago, it has finally arrived!!

I had the car shipped from Oxnard, California to my home in Naples, FL through Exotic Auto Transport (the people you see in DuPont Registry). I would give them an 8 out of 10 rating, but I'll save that for another thread.

The car I purchased is Arctic Silver Metallic over Full Special Cocoa Leather with Adaptive Sport Seats. The car has an array of awesome options like:

-Full Cocoa leather
-Adaptive sport seats
-Sport Shifter
-PCCB's... just to name a few!

The car has also been retrofitted with the X-51 package using all factory parts including a third radiator.

I bought the car with aftermarket cats and mufflers which I have not yet installed (Ceramic black tips are currently on the car).

Enjoy the photos - let me know what you all think!

John

Awesome! Did you buy it sight unseen? I'm very hesitant to do that.

The interior was a huge selling point for me, so thank you! As far as a drop goes, I really haven't decided if I want to mess with the suspension yet, as it has the sport suspension button, and because of that, is already almost an inch lower than your average Carrera S. I wouldn't say it looks that bad at all, especially in person!!

the interior is much darker than those washed out flash photos I showed you before. It is almost black at night. You like huh? Thx

Believe it or not, I did. I was hesitant at first but I bought the car from an attorney who literally had documented EVERY single service AND modification with receipts AND photos! I literally have like 8 inches of paperwork that came with the car.

It is the most well documented vehicle I have ever come across in my life. I knew it would be nice, but not this nice. The interior even smells new!

Beautiful car!!! I know it has to be a great feeling finally bringing the one you've wanted home after the long search. The interior color was a great choice too!

Is it the lighting or does the interior really have that marbled look?

and LOL at the plate, it has a confused identity.

It definitely was an excellent pickup and I plan on keeping this one for the long haul.

You can't even imagine. In 2005 when the 997 came out, I was just starting to modify my M3. By 2007 I knew I had to have one. In '10 I started seriously looking, and after selling my two E46's this past April and June, it only took days to find this car. It was like it was meant to be. Just sold my cars and now the Porsche I have been looking for all along pops up.

I called the guy hoping he wasn't an a$$hole because I REALLY wanted the car based on what I saw. It turned out that he was an amazing person over the phone and offered me more than just an awesome car. (aftermarket parts, V1, bluetooth, iPod, Noah car cover, etc)

I still cannot believe this car is in my garage. At night I walk down just to stare at it because it feels like a dream. Thanks for your compliment on the interior as well. I absolutely love it.

It really does have a marbled look which makes it even more unique. They call it Special Cocoa leather for a reason. Not only is every hyde unique, but the actual leather itself is of a MUCH nicer grain. Picture BMW leather vs. BMW M Nappa leather (or Merino as they call it these days).... NOT all Porsche leathers are created equal, and this leather is waaaayyyy nicer than even that of a Ferrari and it even smells new. As far as the plate goes, I wanted to transfer my Miami Heat plate as I am a HUUUGEE fan so I did that, and ordered a new vanity plate! I will post pics of it when it arrives in 3-8 weeks
