OP, look into replacing your bushings and control arms. These are maintenance parts that will benefit your car as well as any mod. Learn how to DIY to save money.

Well ****, I go out of town and come back to see my inquiry for advice has been deemed a troll.
Kay guys. Thanks a lot. I'll do whatever maintenece I can do, the $400 was a little side fund i'd saved up for for fun sake sake but I guess I drive a timebomb. Long story short I'm 17 years old working full time, trying to get the best I can out of this car and be a responsible owner/driver of a very difficult first car. Maintenence is, for the most part, handled by my parents as the title-holders of the car. I have no problem upholding my responsibility to contribute to maintenence, but that wasn't what I asked about.
Maybe I'll look into getting a Jeep. Sounds more my speed and personality

Don't worry Mafia, do the maintenance basics and don't drive it like you stole it and you'll end up with a very reliable car. Mine runs like a champ and hasn't let me down once.

You're welcome. If you remind me who you are when you order the type III, I'll give you a nice little Fanatic's only discount. Use the coupon code "gummi beagle."

BTW, a Jeep may be your speed....just remember it has a higher center of gravity, so watch yourself on turns!
