Fixing front of 330ci

My wife got into an indecent some time ago, car got damaged in the front, she found someone on craigslist to fix it, guy took 3 month's fixed some body parts but did not finish the job. Now i want to finish where he left.

From what i understand all that's left is air conditioner radiator (aux fan, A/C Condenser Fan Assembly) that goes in front of regular radiator.

Is there anything else you can see missing on the picture.

Looks like this, that's all I have.

You need the large plastic intake duct

If you need better pics let me know

Fixing front of 330ci

Like glhx said you need the front radiator shroud and there is a intake piece on top of the core support. These are for stock cold air intake and you should ditch the k&n type filter setup. You are loosing hp compared to the stock setup because your sucking in hot air. Also I noticed the oil filter housing cap is a bit leaky, you should use Mann oil filters and they will come with all the new seals you might need.

Looks like you need a new air box. As its missing. Also for what you will pay for the electric fan in front of the Rad. Buy the electric fan for the other side and get rid of the mechanical fan. Just search super easy. Looks like your missing a bumper too

+1 on the fan.
+1 on the stock air filter. Aftermarket parts on the m54 are basically useless. And sometimes make hp lower......the oil from the filter trashes the maf sensor.

Fixed up a bit more, next is bumper i guess and 1 turn signal.

I actually had all parts except fan in the trunk, and radiator for AC on this car is actually just U curved tube in top front of heat radiator. Had to buy Aftermarket electric fan for the front i got TYC for $130. Had to buy spacers in home depot and drill in center to fit on fan bolts. If someone need bolts thread is M8 x 1.25 so you need nuts with same thread.

Need to buy and mount bumper now.
How does that work do i need any extra parts to mount it?
Someone told me that plastic thing in front of safety bar is for mounting bumper.
However one part is broke of of it (circled blue), do i buy entire thing new or just that piece (right bumper mount)?

everything else as others said just refer to be parts database. looks like you have a new hood, makes sure the ground strap is connected by the hood hinge.

Doesnt look like anything is broken to me from the mount you have circled. But it might just be the picture. That part slides into the side of the bumper.

How do i check strut tower? I bet i need to measure distance between two strut towers, what is the length it should be?

About hood can you post picture of what you talking about, this hood does not close the way it was doing before crash...

The hood hinges bend very easily, these should have been replaced along with the hood. Also, the upper rails (the part that the fenders bolt to) may be pushed to one side. If this is the case, you will not be able to correctly repair this without a frame rack. You will need to get the specs and take some measurements to determine what is bent...

I could easily be incorrect about how it looks out of specification. But it just looks way off in the photos. Almost too high

Alex323Ci great find i think its messed up not like i can see anything wrong with it visually, however few things make me think it did bend inwards a bit.
Not sure though if that was in this crash or previous one (few owners back) as i see some repairs in that area.

I'd appreciate someone measure distance between strut tower center top part so i can compare to mine.

well you're missing all the rubber trim that goes overs over the firewall divider. that may account for some things looking out of place, doesn't mean it's damaged. i was more referring to how tall the driver's side strut mount looks sitting in the engine bay, like tall enough to hit the hood fromthe angle. which is sounds like it doesn't do so perhaps just a tricky photo angle.

but the measurements can be found here on the site. i'll do a search for a few threads on it.

I actually see hood firewall trim or whatever its called ripped right over that strut tower.

Is there way to measure height of tower?

Regarding cold air intake, i agree, but now i have no budget to convert it back, it needs quite few parts and for example on ebay just box (1) goes for $150
part number 7 for $80 just this is already overkill for me. i know i can go to junk yard, but sometimes they price parts more than dealer or eaby especially if its BMW part...

This is not racing car and its overall condition is not great.I wonder if by moving this filter away from engine would help, that hose cost only $25.

You need to go to pull apart or pick apart. Something like that.
Those yards have set prices for everything no matter what car it comes from.

They have online inventories to see if your caisson in there. The air box in there will cost $15 or something like that. Fenders are like $30. You take tools nd pull it yourself.your in LA. There are probably 5 of them. One will be import specific
