Anyone invest in old paper money?

I've just recently started collecting old US paper money. Anyone else do this?

Yeah, I needed a new hobby. I started to pick up silver certificates, uncut sheets of currency, red seals, etc. It's very interesting.

Error coins are just way to expensive to collect. I went through like thousands of pennies one day and only found like 2 wheat pennies worth $6ish. My mom's got a lot of the old paper money though. Some of it's really cool.

Have an uncut sheet (16 bills) of $50s in my work place. Love it, makes it an interesting conversation object.

Part of my coin collection, I won't post the pictures here because there are too many. I have a ton of error coins. I also have a few paper bills although I only have one pictured. I'll take a few pics tonight of the paper bills

I was in Kinko's about a year ago and I saw some people ( college kids ?) using the paper cutter Kinko's had to cut up a sheet of 1 dollar bills........

It was too late to stop them before I realized what they were doing.

I think it was a sheet of 20, 1 dollar bills. It would have been significantly more if they had sold them at a coin shop. Perhaps 50 to 100 bucks.

My Dad grew up in South Carolina and he said when he was growing up they used to play with old Confederate money. It was not as collectible and as popular then as it is now.
