New to me 81 FN Hi Power aluminum frame

Got some new cocobolo grips on the way, shaved off the lanyard lug. Gun is in good condition. Not many of the aluminum framed Hi-Power out there so I jumped on it. First mod was removing the mag safety...big improvement of the trigger. Gun was made in Belgium for Austrian military....special order aluminum frame. Later on...Glock kind of killed it. Great history in the gun and with the 17 round mags...looking forward to shooting it tomorrow. Always wanted a BHP. Very light weight gun and last that Browning had his personal touch on before he died.

Now part of my Defense Package #1

Shot it today, aluminum frame does not make it as hot as my Sig or Kimber and the weight feels like a Glock. Combat sights are dead on. One of my favorite guns for the range besides my Beretta 92FS, and overall favorite range gun.....HK Mark 23.

AWESOME PIC Evolved!!!! Thanks for sharing that. I did want the OEM style grips, but have a thing for the darker color. BTW, my pics suck, just IPhone pics so they do not give my tools justice.

The Walther SP22 is for zombies....LOL.

Left to right:
Para 45 Slim Hawg 1911
Sig P226 TacOps 9mm
Glock 20C 10mm
Kimber 1911 Custom Raptor II
Beretta 92FS with comp
Walther SP22 M2
FNB 1981 Hi Power AL Frame 9mm Austrian Military
HK P30L 9mm

This is my fun gun case of normal shooters.
