Looks very clean. What's the mileage?
Check the subframe.

Looks like a steal at 11.

I would insist on a full PPI from a trusted mechanic before making an offer. 90K miles is not particularly high for a nearly 12 year old car, and the price is low, but there are signs that the car has not been, how shall we say, lovingly maintained. The intake and exhaust are after-market, the rear tail lens is broken (left side), the paint looks well-worn (like it spent all 12 years sitting out in the sun), and the leather is badly worn both in front and in back.

That is a GREAT price for that car-- agree with previous poster who said do a PPI to ensure no one's trying to pull a fast one. I have a friend who is looking for an E46 M3 and he found one at a local dealer for 19K and it has 97K miles--- waaay overpriced IMO.

Dealer has no records on the car and I will be taking it for a PPI but unsure if I also need to have a compression/leakdown test done aswell.
They are quoting me 95$ to fully inspect the car and another 95$ to connect it to their ''AutoLogic?" system for everything else good price?

open the oil cap and see how light/dark the valve train looks to get an idea of how often the oil was changed, hope this helps, for 11k and you can still probably negotiate, I say buy it!

Full ppi. Sub frame could very well be a disaster.

Looks not to bad . Price is very low ( could be salvage ) if it salvage I would try to drop down to 9k. If clean title then it's a steal. as long as no subframe cracks, good clutch and tranny shifts smooth ,all electronics works well (windows, mirrors, sunroof, seats)

Well best way is to remove rear seats and panels to inspect. The easiest way go under the car and inspect for any signs of cracks .

Crawl under the rear of the car, find this bushing, clean the sheet metal around it and check for cracks. The rear drivers side subframe mount typically cracks first.

figure at least 2-3k to get the maintenance up to date. at 11k that looks like a pretty good deal. watch out for those little car lots, most people dump their problems on those lots. if they are selling for 11k, the prob got it at the auction or someone traded it in (and got what? 6-7k?). good luck, hope you find what your looking for

How so? From pics it looks well kept for a 12yo car.

it sold so its back to the drawing board. I have scoured craigslist/ebay/autotrader and cannot find anything under 15k this is quite depressing.
I did however find a 2003 with 123k miles for 12 but it is SMG and I noticed a weird noise (ticking by alternatorish area) so im turned off

I saw that car when it was first published. Thought about buying it to either flip it or use it as a track car. Couldn't justify the money for the track car. I am local and was thought long and hard about going to check it out. From the pictures it seemed decent. Not many options from the pictures (HK, heated seats). Looks like it has an exhaust and LED's though and for the price seemed like a great deal.

Trust me when I tell you if the dealer is selling for 11k they got it for 8k. And make your own judgment about an 8k 90kmile m3...
