It all depends on your driving conditions, are you in stop and go city driving? I have had my light come on at 79*f ambient temps outside when I was in traffic downtown. What is "acting up" are you getting a light or light and dropping gears? I've never lost a gear, only had the light come on.. even in stop and go 90*+ sitting on the freeway for over an hour I did not get a gear loss.

Replace your salmon relay first, order 2 and keep one as a spare in the glovebox. I got mine from pelican for $30 shipped. If that doesn't help, then do the resistor mod. Then you should be golden unless something really is going wrong.
