so here's an update:
bear in mind this is my second attempt at embroidering, so the more I make, the better it'll get. Sorry about the lighting from the crappy iPhone. the M is silvery thread though, and the red, violet, and blue are matched up to the tristripes on my fender
also, I would highly encourage the black alcantara option. I will post the final question on Friday, but as of right now (using scrap black alcantara left over from my seat delete project) IMO the ///M turns out wayy better than if it were the grey alcantara from say the zcp/csl steering wheel.. just my 2cents. let me know what you all think. I will try and get a picture of the ///M3 version on here by end of tonight.
lastly, I will not be offering the roundel option anymore. tried the rings and it's just wayy too hard to get a perfect, smooth circle, so it just wouldn't look good. and at the price point so far, I cannot take 6hrs+ to make a single pillow (the lettering would have to be by hand, as it would be too small for the machine) - seems most of you want the ///M or ///M3 anyhow so not too big deal, just fyi. (mitchponton: your request is still ok)

teaser for those with the ///M3. almost into the closing stages of practice.

I should toss up a 'first edition' for a 'special price'

speaking of that, first donation, first pillow. so those of you already sending me the info, you're pillows will be first.
for those of you forum goodie-goodies who stay with the wives all weekend and dont check your pm's, I will allow orders until Monday 29 July at 10pm PST. But I mean if you want you're pillow sooner, you gotta play sooner

Sorry yes,

So update:
Material should be on its way.
Below is the list in order of those who are on track to get their pillows made. (timestamped from my email inbox from $pal) Those with question marks, I'm still waiting on replies please. I am really trying to enforce the deadlines on getting the contract in, so that way I am not making more than necessary, and to be fair to those who have already committed. PM me if you have lost my info, or the past pm's I've sent you. IF YOU ARE NO LONGER TAKING PART, PLEASE AT LEAST PM ME SAYING SO, that way I can remove you from the list. (the list was closed at 25, so there are no extras for people canceling, but hopefully everyone who initially wanted a pillow, gets one...I think this is fair)

yes of course.
the alcantara is on it's way to me.
the stuffing was purchased and is ready to go.
the first pillow was created from my scraps I had. Notice that the seam at the top and bottom is at the quarter locations, due to using scraps, but the final pillow will have a smooth front and back panel with seams only along the edges. ** this picture portrays a pillow made from scraps, which is thus rectangular. the actual pillows will be roughly 16inx16in.**

Along the closing process though, something came up. In order to stuff the pillow, I have to leave a 2-3in hole, the which then needs to be handstitched to truly complete the pillow - as shown in the picture below. votes for inside stitching vs outside stitching? outside is of course MUCH quicker, which in turn would get your pillows to you quicker. This small section will be on the bottom seam of all the pillows, so keep in mind if you are using as decorative, you'll never even notice it, because the pillow will be 'sitting' on the seam.

so yes, as soon as I get the roll of alcantara, pictures will start to go up!

My vote goes for inside stitching even though it may take longer. Just looks better IMO. Pillow looks awesome, thanks for the update

Agree, the inside stiching looks a lot cleaner and would better suit the look with the rest of the car. Just my 2 cents
