Question for ESS TS owners regarding serpentine belt

Hey fellas,

I've searched thru some old posts here but didn't get the answer I was looking for so here goes... I have the ESS TS1 and the belt I currently use is the Contitech 6PK1965.

I have the opportunity to purchase a replacement Contitech 6PK1965 belt or purchase the Goodyear Gatorback 6PK1965 belt, but wanted some feedback from you all.

TxZHP04 - I did see one of your older posts regarding how you like the Gatorback belts and are still using it I assume, so I'd definitely welcome your feedback as well.
Also, I saw the link you posted for the Gatorback part number table where I can cross check with the metric part number, however "6PK1965" isn't listed there which I don't understand why.

I was going to buy a few extras to keep as spares... is that ok to do (i.e. is shelf life ok) or will the rubber start to degrade over time?

I use the same belt type; 6PK1965, the Continental is the softest/weakest one, only lasts a year / 15000 miles before needing replacement. I have switched to Gates Micro-V belts, which are much stronger and last longer, couldn't be happier with them. I asked ESS why the preference on Contitech belts, they said they are quieter, but personally I haven't noticed any difference at all with the Gates. When I took the Gates belt out to replace it after 2 years it had no wear at all on it. Can't comment about the Goodyear ones as I'm limited to what brands are available. Dayco is another popular brand which I plan to try

As far as replacements, I always keep 1 spare, and in due time, I use that spare and buy new one which I keep aside

Question for ESS TS owners regarding serpentine belt

Gatorbacks and Gates Blue Racing belts are the only way to go with sc applications. The Gates blue is specifically designed for superchargers and the Gatorback is 2nd best choose imo.
