Don't worry about it. Do the fcabs and if it's still there just drive faster.

Front Shake issue

Just hitting this up for people still following. I ended up swapping calipers finally with remanned ones and I believe my shake is gone. Bearings sounded fine no clunks or any sounds when I turned the hub itself. The caliper seems to be the source of my shake and vibration all along.

This is EXACTLY what my car did when I had a front caliper stick. What you (may have) felt was the rotor warming up, warping (violent shaking), and then getting so hot it smoothed out again. (basically brake fade to the point that it was no longer wagging the wheel)

Did you notice the chassis pulling when you applied the brakes during this?

Front Shake issue

I did notice it pull to the left with the passenger side being the shot caliper.

Front Shake issue

Seems my shake is back. Thought it was all but gone. Does it between about 50-60 ish then smoothes out at 70. Thinking maybe a wheel balance issue.

Resurrecting an old thread as I'm having the same issue on my 330XI.

I was getting the usual 45-60mph front end wiggle that's well documented and was working thru figuring it out. Drove the car Monday and had 2 instances where the frontend started shaking so bad it felt like all my lugs backed off, but then smoothed itself out. Occurred when driving straight, decelerating, accelerating, and braking. When the car is smooth, there is ZERO vibration under braking at any speeds, ruling out a warped rotor.

I found that my passenger front rotor was much warmer than the drivers side, suspecting a sticky caliper. I pulled things apart tonight and the caliper looks like it was replaced fairly recently, and I did the pads & rotors so they have <5k miles on them.

Then found that my wheel bearing has a fair amount of play when shaking the wheel at 12:00 and 6:00. While I suspect my FCAB's are tired, I believe I've found the cause of my issue. I think since the bearing is allowing the rotor to sag into the caliper that's the cause of the heat/dragging.

Will be replacing the bearing soon and follow up with if it fixed the issues

I replaced the control arm on both sides and that worked a bit but the winner was both front axles. No more vibration, I have both with only 10k if you want to look forward that.
