New Nexus 7 and Chromecast

For anyone interested:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=GZzS6BxHEns

Nexus 7 has already been fully leaked with android 4.3 by Best Buy:http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Nexus+7+...%207&cp=1&lp=2

Other than that there may also be some kind of streaming set top box revealed (hopefully better than the Q)

Starts at noon eastern time.

I already sold my N7. Can't wait to pick up the new one as soon as it's released!

Re: Google announcement live stream

That was better than I expected it to be. The leaks didn't even begin to cover everything.

Definitely going to get the new N7, that screen is going to be gorgeous.

Didn't catch the second half of the stream, but chromecast looks like a MUCH better deal than the Nexus Q was. Only $35, and comes with 3 free months of Netflix to new, current, or previous subscribers. It practically pays for itself.

The verge summary:

I like the Nexus 7, but the horror stories about the outgoing Nexus 7 memory slowdown are scary indeed.

I definitely like the Chromecast thing. Seems almost like they underhyped it. If this was another company :cough: :cough:, they'd have made it out to be the greatest thing since the invention of the television.

Anywhere you go, you can easily take your Netflix, YouTube, browsing to a large screen. You effectively really do have a personal computer in your pocket now.

And it wouldn't have been cross platform. I like that it can be used with Android, iOS, Windows, OSX, and Linux. There's no hardware lock in. "It just works."

I went to order one last night and they were already sold out everywhere I don't know why I waited so late. Amazon is going to send me an email when they get a delivery date figured out.
