Fuel Pump staying on even when car is off and key out!

I am new to the fourm so please excuse me if this post is redundent, I have searched but could not find anyone else with similar issues.

My fuel pump remains on even when the car is off and the key is out. I replaced the fuel pump and fuel relay about a month ago and since then I have had the battery drian multiple times. I replaced the battery over the weekend and this morning I noticed a high pitch electrical humm coming from the rear passenger side, after pulling the back seat and opening the access cover I confirmed the Fuel pump stays on constantly.

I am thinking it is either a bad relay or bad fuel pump. Has any else had this issue? Advise is greatly appreciated.

Sorry this is on a 2002 325xi

My Ride: Has no throttle
It's your car saying "NO, don't stop driving me!!"

It's most likely a sticky relay Replace the relay, I'm sure it'll solve your problem.

Relay would be my first guess.

I'd test the relay to see if it's stuck closed first. If so, you found your problem.

If not, test the coil side of the circuit at the socket to see if it's activating the relay constantly. If so, you're looking for a short or a bad DME.
