Finally, installed my JL Audio Stealthbox & Amp

It took me a while to figure out everything but I just finish installing both my JL Audio Stealthboxes and 250/1 amp.

I located my amp in the spare tire, this way nothing is in the way. sound and looks very good.

Thanks for all of you who gave me good advise.

Looks nice. Any issues with your Amp getting hot under there?

more pics please?

how does it sound dude?

nice install, looks good. i like the idea of hiding the amp under there but i also wondered about heat build-up as well. especially if you have some stuff back there (which i usually do).

great job nonetheless!

THe sound is very good

Th eonly thing I hated of my new car was the sound system. Not having the HK upgrade the sound didn't have any bass and I didn't like it.

I didn't want to take much space in the trunk with a big sub enclosure so I felt that the JL Stealthbox was perfect.

Since I am not driving the amp to the max I don't expect to have any heating issue. I used to have a similar setup in my previous car and no problem for 3 years.

I'll keep you posted...

nice setup i really suggest you get an external fan for that amp even if your not running it at full cap. doing so will help your amp to not burn out and longevity. since there is hardly any airflow going in or out the area where the amp is located.

I want to do the same setup in my E46 M3. How/where did you tap into the speaker leads. Specifically, what type of converter did you use to convert to RCA signals? Yes, I know it has been discussed....I just want to hear it again from someone just completing the install that is not posting under the topic "HELP, Just installed sub amp and nothing works"

I was thinking about a 300/4....bridge the rears for 150X1 and use the front 75X2 for some components up front. Do you think this is enough power or do you really need the 250X1 for decent bass levels on the SB's. Definition of Decent=well rounded sound versus booming through the neighborhood.

Anyone else out there with a 300/4 setup described above that can comment?
