| I hear 'ya on the CX Racing items. Pretty much everyone I've spoken to says the same thing.
The owner of the shop I engaged to do the swap rolled his eyes and began shaking his head 'no' as soon as the words 'CX Racing' left my lips during our conversation. He mentioned he would use some of the Vorshlag parts: Driveshaft, Headers, and Steering shaft (better/easier to buy than to build). He also indicated he would fab the engine/transmission/AC compressor mounts at the shop.
The shop (Zero2Sixty Performance in St. Petersburg, Fl.) has done a number of the LS swaps into e46's, and the owner has done it twice for his personal vehicles (one street car, and one race car). They specialize in LS Swaps: performance work and LS swaps is their core business...
I believe they are planning on leaving the DME in the car (it's a convertible, so I'm about 90% sure the DME is needed to run the convertible top module - if I unplug it, the top doesn't operate).
