Rear Mounted turbo build

Hey I got an e46 330ci. I'm looking to mount a turbo in the rear as the title suggests. I'm doing this because most turbo kits that I found for the e46 involve removing ac lines and I'm just not willing to do so. It also saves space in an already congested engine bay making small jobs on the exhaust side of the car much easier and helps the sleeper look. There's also less heat to worry about around those already worn rubber and plastic such as the valve cover. Does anyone have an already existing example of this setup? Also what's a good fuel pump and injector upgrade for an m54b30? Thank you.

That's the least common turbo build. On top of that, E46 turbo builds aren't too popular yet so you'll be learning everything on the way if you decide to do rear mount. You could go bottom mount like me to keep a stealthy look and cooler engine bay temps

Thanks for that and I realize it's rarity. I was just was just asking for ANY chance of reference but I do have plenty to go off of. I really was putting that up to describe the build I wish to achieve. I'm still doing it but I like and may consider that bottom mount if things go way left. I really was looking for a fuel injector and pump upgrade for the 330ci. What do you have? I'm trying to achieve the 350 plus hp mark. Are you around that or have setup at least capable of that?

I'm still working on my build. I will be hitting boost for the first time next week. I bought bosch green giants 42lb injectors but I recommend Bosch 0280158123 627cc Porsche 997tt. Some people push 500+ on the stock fuel pump and others upgrade. You can go with walbro, aem, or deatschwerks. If you can get your hands on E85, I recommend it.

You've just unlocked another realm for me thanks. And that's exciting to hear at the beginning of my build. Please hmu on this thread to lmk how the car runs. Also did you have to alter the fuel rail in any way to get those to fit? The less altering the better lol.

I haven't put my injectors in yet but I only recently found out that they're too short for the M54 manifold but would work fine on a M50 manifold. I need to use washers to make the fiel rail "taller". The Porsche injectors have the extended tip like stock injectors so they should fit good

Rear mount turbo to save AC is like cutting your arm off to avoid pain in your hand.

You can always buy a ac hose kit and run the AC lines around everything, thats what I did

I was able to keep my original ac line with cx racing manifold , although i did have to bend them , just by hand a little bit and it was totally fine. But decided to delete A/c all together because to run a proper drainage for turbo is hard. So i drill a hole in a block where a/c goes. Was thinking of getting an electric a/c.

You'd have me if that was the soul reason of doing it but thanks for the "comment"

I would do that but didn't run this whole plan just to simply get ac though I appreciate the alternative. I wanna have something nobody else has as well as great engine bay temps and less engine bay clutter.

Clever stuff but you also included that it was difficult to run a proper oil return line to the block and really I dont wanna alter those lines at all. With my setup I can just run headers of my choice of shorty or long instead of relying on cc racing stuff. Rather have a legit headers/exhaust combo with a no nonsense turbo at the end ready to do whatever I want in case I wanna up the boost on it one day. Cx is great but I hear a lot and saw more so it might blow cuz I'm stupid risky lol. I know they're different but I got some pretty good ideas looking at some fairlady Z's and Corvettes while understanding what I have as far as space under my car. I'm fairly confident I can pull this off though it will take some persuading.

That manifold swap is easy. You got that I know it. Please send pics of it when your done. I like the direction you're going with this build. You just gotta do slight mods to where the fuel rail sits and to the fuel rail itself. The rest of the kit should be plug and play unless you're doing a ccv delete. You also got me at the cliff of E85 lol but ima get the turbo in the car first and see how that is

$50 says this never happens.
A person concerned with issues associated with bending AC lines, changing injectors and issues with oil return associated with a CX racing manifold is going to have a hell of a hard time doing a rear mount setup...

Lmao because I chose to set some guidelines about how I want "my build" to be it's doubtful. To be sure on information distorts my credibility and commitment to this? As if I had been just sitting on my ass and just came up with this today with thought of how difficult it is to pave a new direction. Lol hate all you want bruh. They ain't like LeBron or MLK either. When it's done I'll be on here again looking for somebody's pen pal ***x1f911;

Just to clear things up for me, you have no idea about fuel pumps or injectors, you don't want to modify anything, you haven't even talked about getting oil (and possibly water) to & from the turbo, additional piping from the turbo to the intercooler, tuning etc. and your only posts on this forum are about this build?

No problems, please PM me once build this and have it working and I'll PayPal you the $50.

I haven't spoken about those things "on here" so dont assume that's not in question or even resolved. I have multiple sources of information and don't disrespect me. Me asking about what would work best as upgrades and knowing about the parts I'm upgrading are two different subjects. I'm also a welder who is more than capable of fabrication with my tools if need be so if I see an obstacle I will be able to maneuver around it. Please dont respond to me until I ask for that PayPal. I asked about injector suggestions to confirm if what I had in mind was good enough or if this forum would give a better option which one of you did. I didn't come on here to have some immature disagreement with an asshole who assumed **** about me and is making an ass out of himself. Lol I could never understand people who get on their technological devices to make dumbass remarks with zero meaning to people they dont know. You're $50 is should be thrown straight in the trash as soon as I get it.

Another thing. You don't see any other post from me because I joined last week but been doing it without asking for forum advice.
