2020 Chevrolet Corvette

Good job Chevrolet

looks like the new NSX had sex with the c7 corvette.

Hence the mid engine.

I want one.

Agreed. Initial numbers look great but interested to see track times and more info released as well.

My Ride: Best M5 ever made
I'm a fan of it's ferrari-ish looks, even the last gen in RED would get my neck snappin like I saw a Ferrari, this one will do that even more so.

But the square tailpipes are just blech. Look like autozone add ons to me, I still prefer the round tips, or at least something more flush and integrated into the rear bumper.

It's also funny to me how that interior is laid out, kinda pushes the passenger off and away and secludes you, the driver, like there's a nice barrier between you and the passenger, like stay put, do NOT press any buttons, ha

1) Not a fan of the square exhaust tips. I feel like replacing them with round tips will look much, much better.

2) Not a fan of the steering wheel shape. It reminds me of the old Cavalier steering wheel (see picture below) which was awkward to hold and not comfortable to rest your hands on. The two chunky spokes at 8:00 and 4:00 cause your hands to have to turn inward or outward, depending on how you want to hold the wheel. I much prefer the extra stability of gripping the wheel and spokes at 9:00 and 3:00.

Cavalier steering wheel for comparison...

This thing is an absolute BARGAIN. Unfortunately no one is getting one for anywhere close to MSRP for a very long time. The markups are going to be insane.

totally,

I dont see this going for 30-40k in the next 4 years..used
I'd lke to replace the z4 with this in like 4-5 years but I do not see this being anywhere cheap even in 5 years

there will be a few unicorns at 59,999 and the rest I bet will run freely up to 150k like the GT-R and more with different variants

this is just like the GT-R intro, theyre just copying and pasting what nissan did

I was reading the comments and chevy did a commendable job on lowering the
average corvette demographics age by a decade.

as I dig the new corvette and would be proud to have one in my garage

Let's not forget this is a Corvette... a mass-produced sports car that will be bought by countless people. Give it eight years and the market will be more than saturated.

Corvettes don't really sell all that well right now. If someone wants a C7, now is the perfect time to get one lol.

That said, they could certainly limit production to keep demand and exclusivity high though, given the repeated highlighting of the price tag, I don't think they'll do that.

Honestly, the first thing I thought when I saw the launch video was how I couldn't wait for Zebra Corner to do a parody.

I like most of it, but the interior is highly questionable, plus that legendary GM build quality I'm sure.

But for $60k, it will be tough to beat...when you start comparing performance/looks etc in that price range, you're looking at a Supra, base Boxster, etc.....vs what appears to be a NSX/Ferrari/Lambo love child and the numbers to go along with it.

Nice job....hopefully they didn't eff it up too much because....GM.

I rented a '18 C7 not too long ago with break-in miles and was pleasantly surprised at the interior quality.

Looks like GM aced it with the 2020 Corvette. Once the moron-markups settle, a test drive will be in order.

Looks weird. Still congrats for finally discovering a mid-engine configuration and dual clutch transmissions. Maybe one day they will crack the 100HP/1L mark on their NA engines.

I'll probably get toasted for this, but I don't see Corvette. I see something wanting to be italian racer, not american muscle car. Sorry. Even new Camaro or Challenger look more muscular (=big engine car).
