I've been looking for a new racing group. I run spec 944, but want a modern car that does not break as often, plus parts are hard to get. I really like how the spec e46 is shaping up. My region (rocky mountain) does not have any spec e46. I was thinking about building a spec e46 car and running it gts2 until we get some more here. Any thoughts or adivice on this approach? Can a spec e46 it be competitive in gts2?
I ran pretty well against the gts2 cars including ones with aero. I've still got a lot to learn though. I'll have some video later this week. The car pulled well with them on the straights and really the most advantage the gts2 cars had was in faster sweepers requiring downforce or grip. Brakes were fantastic.
Here's a video from this past weekend. I got the jump on a few GTS cars at the start. The car hangs with them fine but there are some very fast GTS2 cars with great drivers in this region.
Still learning this car and am not pushing to hard, most of the time.
