So like I'm currently running 215/55r/16 tires with stock rims on a 323i 2000 sedan and I've been meaning to get some cheap decent rims to get instead of the old oem plasti dipped rims lol. But yeah I've been looking into the BMW style 5s and I found some on ebay but they're 16x8 and I dont know if that would fit 215s but pls help
A common 16x8" BMW style 5 wheel is the 7 series wheels which will be ET23 offset - not good for E46s. Check the area under the cap will likely show the offset. 215/55r/16 usually need 6-7.5" rims but 8" shouldn't be out of the question. Best to confirm with the tyre manufacturer's recommendation.
not to mention curb protection. The moment you touch a curb while parking, the 215 on a 8" wheel would allow the wheel to make contact with the curb,,,big wheel damage-scaring.
