Android car launchers

Hi all,

I know Overboost has started a similar thread, but here goes. lolol

Anyone have any recommendations for android head unit car launchers.

The main 2 I keep seeing are CarWebGuru and Agama.
Both have some serious faults in not being able to open factory installed apps and some problems with opening the phone dialer for your connected phone.

Car Launcher Pro is no longer supported by the developer. So not keen on that either.

Anyone use one that works as required? Even better if its on an Eonon head unit.
Surely someone can recommend one that works as intended, or can advise that the problems mentioned above are not present using those launchers with the Eonon HU!

Cheers.

I have a BMW themed one on my Android headunit, but I can't remember the name of it. I'll check later and report back.

The only ones that is worth buying are from Joying. They are the only manufacturer that uses an Intel x86 chip set, every other manufacturer uses either a Rocket(brand?) px5 or px6. Although they many times have a higher core count than the Intel chip set, they are by far slower.

Also to the best of my knowledge they are the only company that supports Android Auto natively without the use of a bought separately add on dongle.

I personally have a Xtron headunit that I am probably going to get rid of for a Joying unit. I have been able to compare mine (xtron) to a friends (joying) and the entire experience on the joying is much smoother and having the deck recognize android auto is much faster and more consistent than on my head unit.

Almost every brand that you are going to look at outside of the Joying headunits are going to be rip offs of each other and when looking at the e46 specific units that are the same as the xtron unit they all have poor internal wiring and soldering issues that affect Bluetooth,WiFi and gps.

Thanks for the info, although I am after Android Car Launcher Apps. Like AGAMA and CarWebGuru!
I think I will just grab those two and see which one functions the best for my requirements. Not much else out there by the looks of it!
Cheers.

So I have installed and started using CarWebGuru. I must say, it is not perfect, but all the regular features you need work well and it is very customisable.
All the factory installed Apps I link to have opened so far, and the Bluetooth phone dialer opens and works flawlessly.
Highly recommended so far. I don't use it for anything too fancy like Carplay or Android Auto, but all the basic core functions work well.

I use nova prime on all my phones and just dumped that into my eonon. KISS and all that.

I don't have any serious customizations on the homepage. Just enough to get me to what I need.

There is FCC Car Launcher that seems to be popular on the XDA forums. Lots of customizations, mini map available on the homescreen, etc...
