Factory Amplifier connector

Hello everyone,

I'm upgrading my stereo and wanted to replace the amp with an aftermarket unit to power my upgraded speakers. I would prefer to make an adapter harness to connect to the factory wiring in the trunk so I don't have to cut my factory wiring harness. But after a lot of google searching I haven't found a connector like the factory HiFi amp connector to build an adapter harness with. I tried cutting one from a stock junkyard amp, but it is surface mounted to the board and therefor has almost no pin left to solder to. Has anyone ever found a source for this connector?

Thanks,

If you do a google search for “e46 technics harness” you should be able to find a harness. I believe they are handmade by one guy. I have one in my car and it works flawlessly
