Apparently there are no less than eight E46 Tourings that I see running around 78748. Four of them, including me, are on this board, and that doesn't include George and his slew of wagons that reside in Cedar Park. I'm thinking this is an unusually high concentration of Tourings in one local.

Watched it again last night. How much abuse can a 1973 Mustang take?! Definitely challenges The Blues Brothers for wrecked police cars!

Oh, and I kept the 70s movie theme going with 3 Days of the Condor after Gone In 60 Seconds!

Nah... I'd wager there are at least 20 in each large metro area. Eight modded or enthusiast or forum owned, yes, that would be an unusually high concentration.

Austin doesn't count though since George probably has 8 on his property at any given time...

They're not THAT rare. Plenty of random non-forum types still own theirs. Mine, for instance, got to 199k with the original owner and frankly I was surprised they even figured out how to list it on Craigslist.

Right??? There had to be 20 Mustangs, if not more, used in that final chase scene, which lasted 45 minutes? The "continuity" team had a really tough job in duplicating the damage on each successive car.

Your right. I think that because the Tourings are so vastly outnumbered by the sedans and coupes that I feel they are rare. I LOL'd at the craigslist comment

Modern BMW is dead to me, but I nevertheless appreciate (if not exactly love) this spiritual descendant to my car:

My backhanded compliment: it looks like an Audi.

Spotted a nice looking e46 along the water on Long Level Wednesday night. Roof rail delete, style 67s, clean overall except for the big dent in the left rear door. Dark green exterior.

lol, it's a bumper guard. It's what city folks (or city-adjacent folks) use for protection against parking-by-braille.

New season of Wheeler Dealers opens with an SMG e46 M3. Just started watching it (MT app through Prime video, airs Tuesday) but I'm excited and wanted to share!

I've also seen a couple of modded e91 Tourings around town lately. One was parked and upon closer inspection was pretty tatty. Bad paint, bent wheels, etc. The other was a drive by, but we were admiring each other's Bavarian tourers.

Yes, they're very common here in NYC.

I'm in 78747 area. If you see me in the Oxford Green flash your lights/honk!
