My M sport Touring

Hey guys, Part time reader, first time poster.

I've recently (6ish months ago) picked up an M sport E46 Touring, and I absolutely love the thing! I was wisely advised to look for an M sport version, as they have a much nicer interior, kit etc. and i'm glad I did.

After some hunting, I found this

It's a facelift 2004 M sport 325i, fairly decently optioned, with electric alcantara sports seats, a sunroof, black carbon trim, M sport kick panels, M sport ii kit, and suspension, it was pretty decently priced too. The previous owner was a BMW mechanic, so it's had all of the PM done to the engine/in the engine bay (cooling system, rocker cover gasket, etc.), and a full trans and diff flush, with receipts. It's sitting around 132k Kms, which is approx 82k miles, and I picked it up for about 3.5k USD (in my local currency)

I haven't really done anything to it yet except drive it, although i'm on the lookout for a set of Style 65/66's. and after driving my partners 130i, I'm left wishing it was faster! I'll be getting it up on a hoist this weekend to check out all the bushes and joints underneath and do an oil/filter change. I'll leave this first post with a few pictures

That's all for now!

Wow, that's really a nice wagon you picked up for not a lot of money. Unfortunately here in the US the M-sport package was not available so if we want a similar setup we have to retrofit everything like the bumpers, side skirts, interior trim, etc.

Thanks for sharing your new ride :-)

Smoking deal! The car looks great. Are painted bumper mouldings and side rub strips a part of the M Sport package, or is that custom?

Are those sedan roof racks??? I've been trying to figure out if sedan racks fit on the Touring for a while now and it looks like they do.

Very nice car, hope you enjoy it!

Thanks guys!

I'm pretty happy, there are certainly a few nice options that this car has. After reading the forums here, it seems unfortunate that M-Sport package wasn't available elsewhere, I don't know if i'd be in a non M E46!

With the bumper mouldings and door strips being body colour, I'm not 100% sure if they're an M thing, or if a previous owner had them colour-matched. As for the roof racks, i'm actually not sure, I took them off. Is there a part no I can check on for you?

No part number to check for the racks. If they're OEM BMW racks then that confirms that BMW racks will fit on both sedans and tourings which is good news!

Very nice! Man, I love the cloth/alcantara seats. I wish that was an option in the US.
