M54 VCG leak

I have a 2001 325ci M54B25 with 200,xxx+ miles on it and I don't think the VCG was ever changed before by the looks of it when I replaced it with a reinz gasket. When I got the car it was a Smokey mess, and to this day still looks like it's on fire when driving down the highway. Constantly refilling oil and resealing the VCG every couple days I found one of the studs stripped. I don't think this one stud is enough to let oil fill in all the spark plug holes and cause misfires. I have a m7x1 helicoil kit and plan to replace threads this week and will update. Anyone know any why my head keeps leaking? Bad gasket maybe? I'm not a mechanic and am getting desperate. Will post pics soon with next update.

So yesterday I drilled a hole in my head (9/32) scariest things in the world. Everything went back together smothely after that. I used permetex black on the half moons, cylinder 5 and 6 and a third of the exhaust side near the back of the head wear I was leaking. I did the proper tourque sequence starting from the middle and working my way outward. I got them all hand tight with one pass, snug with a small ratchet the second pass, and bottom out on third pass. I reused old gasket and nut seals as they are all brand new victor rienz gasket. I've herd bad things about these in past posts but I don't know about currently. I've waited 24 and plan to start the car up tomarow morning and will update again. Fingers crossed. All help is appreciated.

So it's been a couple days with the gasket reinstalled and it seems to have slowed down the leaking a bit or maybe stopped it but too soon to tell. The first couple days I got no smoke at all drove it about 200 miles in one day and had no problems. No misfires or codes either but around 4-5 rpm it sometimes feels like it's missing or struggling. Just yesterday it started smoking again but only occasionally and nowhere near as bad. I can actually use the cold ac now without being blasted with engine oil smoke. I checked it out under the hood near the exhaust shields that I previously cleaned to check for leaking and they appeared to be clean except for a very tiny bit of oil residue on the end. Cats looked like oil might have dripped on it once if at all, might have been excess oil. But still getting burning smoke. Seems to be coming from back of engine now. Took a peak under the intake with a flashlight and it's coverd in goopy oil. As well as under the car, that area is coverd in oil. Could the half moons be leaking? Could my CCV/PCV system be bad? Anyways I ordered a new one with all the hoses and plan to change the dipstick o ring oil separator vacuum lines etc. I'm going to wash down the engine bay and underneath as well to check for any leaking. On a side note because the car is leaking and I was just constantly adding oil. I never actually knew how much oil was in it. I would really add oil basset off sound and the oil light. So after the reinstall of the VCG I filled it with the rest of the oil I had (maybe 3 or 4 qts) it feels like it might be too much in there but i don't know. And I don't know what happens if you have to much oil. As of now I'm just going to leave it until I change the CCV system hoping that I have no leaks or smoke after that. All help is very appreciated.

Your valve cover itself is warped.

A new one will come with the genuine bmw gasket.
