Seems that AVIN did make an effort to "reach me in the middle" by offering a $200 refundable deposit vs $400 - didn't expect that. According to them (as already stated here) many customers "forgot to ship the units back". I accepted their offer and will be sending my unit back as soon as the new one comes.

Mine is perfect just as it was with the stock Business CD. We are using the factory antenna so it should be no different than it was before.

Interesting. Such a clause would be invalid for an EU seller, since it would contradict our Consumer Protection legislation. As I say, I guess buyers don't have similar protection in the US then?

Not sure which one to go for,

PX6 is newer, better CPU, better GPU
PX5 has better established community support (XDA), so more mods and ROMs

Do I go PX6 and hope the firmware is stable or go PX5 have the option of flashing a third party ROM if the out of box firmware turns out to be buggy.

In the EU too, so would rather not have to send it back.

PX6 units come with Bluetooth 5.0 (although not sure what BT version is the PX5)

I went with the PX5. Couldn't really find any information on the benefits of PX6 or CPU stats

I am assuming you have the PX5 Chikoo? I am waiting on the PX6 now with Android 9.0 to ship from Avin. Just not available for the E53 yet.

I asked when ordering and they didn't have much information on it. I googled and couldn't find anything on the PX6. Now I wish I ordered the PX6

Does anyone have more detailed specs that compare the two?

My problem. Before at boot up the stupid radio would auto launch. So it disabled radio altogether in the factory settings. Now the music player launched every time I start the car. WTF. how do disable this stuff.
I don’t recall setting any app to auto start in any way. Would anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

There has been some discussion on the radio starting automatically and no real resolution other than a custom ROM. I know one of our members flashed the Hal9K ROM and solved this. I'm not sure if this is something you want to try but there is plenty of information over on XDA Developers.

My car is one thing that I want not to get into custom ROMs and stuff . everything else in my house is running some sort of custom fw honestly.
****ing avin, don't know how these units get passed any QA, if at all.

I think it is designed that way to be honest. I know a lot of users that do not want the radio to start but myself, that is the one app I use the most. My radio is always on unless streaming music so the fact that is always starts doesn't bother me.

It would be nice if you had the choice of selecting on or off though. Maybe something like Tasker could be an option?

Anyone know what to do to get Torque to work? The program claims a successful connection to the adapter but says the adapter is not connected to the ECU.

Go into the settings of the Torque app and set up a profile with the interface mode to OBDII ISO 9141-2 standard.
