Need advice on buying wheels

Hey guys, so my 330Ci project I purchased about a month ago has been coming together pretty well. Iím so close to being roadworthy, and one of the last pieces to get me going are to get wheels and tires.

Iíve done a lot of reading on here , but the thing that trips me up is the fact that my car is lowered.

The problem is that I bought the car off someone who bought it off someone and so forth. I have no idea how much the car has actually been lowered. The suspension looks stock so im guessing it has lowering springs on it.

Currently, I have some (what I believe to be fake) style 42 18s. They are super beat up and 2 wheels are bent. The tires are all shot and on the verge of blowing out. I was going to try to have the wheels repaired when I thought they were real style 42s. (They have no bmw markings)

Iím shopping on Facebook marketplace and OfferUp but most people donít know the offsets of the wheels they are selling. I donít want to buy something that doesnít fit.

Iíll post a picture of my ride height, maybe you can give me your opinion on how much it has been lowered and make a recommendation?

Thanks everyone Click image for larger version

Also , here is an example of wheels Iím looking at on marketplace right now. The fronts have 225/40-18 and the tears have 245/40-18. He said they rubbed a bit on the rear of his car (the blue coupe)

My car is clearly lower than his. Click image for larger version

They rub because they are M3 wheels that were installed on a nonM, look how far they extend outside the body. You should read about wheel offset.

Iíve done a ton of reading in the past 24 hours. Lots of information out there. I initially didnít realize that these were m3 wheels.
