Banal observation: Democrats shout about moving into the future; immediately re-elect a decrepit, corrupt dinosaur to run things again. #sameoldsameold #justliketrump

Definitely looking forward to seeing Maxine Waters make Trump's life a living hell.

Enjoying seeing some of the new blood refusing to toe the party line, at least at the outset. Will they be brought to heel? Time will tell!

You and some portion of the Democrats may not like Pelosi but she is really, really good at what she does.

Seeing the same old (operative word) windbags take the helm is tiresome. As much as I dislike Pelosi, she's probably one of the better ones to stick in Trumps craw.

I really hope the D's don't go nutso with the impeachment gambit. The people will tire of that quickly and it'll blow back on them.

Sure. Everyone recognizes that. The question, then, is "what does she do that she's so good at?" What can we thank Nancy Pelosi for from her tenure in Congress?

I suppose we can start with all of her accomplishments as a Republican, if you want.

I mean what "you" can be thankful for. Since you're a Republican, not much.

What gave you the impression I was a Republican?

Well I don't know Dave, you don't seem like a guy who would vote for Hillary Clinton.

I wouldn't vote for Hillary Clinton for the same reasons I didn't vote for Donald Trump. That doesn't make me a Republican.

Well, neither am I. That still wouldn't make me vote for him.

I have spent a lot of time around politicians here in CA. I can't think of a single politician that I can say I truly admire.

There's not really anything to watch. I don't have anything else to say at this point.

Looks like the House is starting to more closely reflect America demographically.

Well, one party at least...

"Identity politics has done more to disenfranchise individual thought, erode effective civil discourse and encourage hate than, perhaps, any other single recent factor in American society. And, it should be noted, identity politics was promoted for decades before Donald Trump entered the political stage."
