Officiating in the NBA (and any other sport for that matter)

I understand the arguments for the statements. At the same time, I still find it hard to believe. Possible? Of course. Probable? Unlikely (IMHO).

Arguments that Officiating is Fixed:
-Inconsistent calls
-Forcing a game 7 (NBA) to maximize profits
-And so forth

While I can see the weight behind those points, I find it hard to see how they (NBA) can pull this off. We're assuming that the players are completely out-of-the-blue with the knowledge.

Let's take the current Spurs-Miami series for example.

While the refs. can definitely make foul calls against Miami (allowing Spurs the Free Throw opportunity), how can the refs. be so sure that the person taking free throws will even make the shots (percentage-stats aside).

Let's say the NBA wants Miami to win a Game 7 to maximize profits, etc. Now, game 6 is done, it's down to Game 7. Spurs shoot 60%, while Miami is at 40% (I said it was an EXAMPLE!). Refs. start making foul calls to get Miami to the line. They make their free throws (but not all, again, it's not guaranteed they will make the shot after the fixed-call is made). But everywhere else they're still 40%, while Spurs are still 60% with Green on a hot-streak at the 3-point line....and, you get the picture.
