New rubber for next weekend at Gingerman with NASA. Maybe this might help with the push I was having at MidOhio.

Hey Bill! Nemesis here. When are you at Mid-O next? What kind of tires did you go with?

MidOhio Oct 2-4 with NASA. Didn't have the funds for new rims and rubber so went with star specs. At Gingerman this weekend then NCM July 17-19.

Had great weekend at Gingerman with NASA. Some rain on Saturday (spun out during a wet session) and awesome weather on Sunday. Moved to HPDE3. Car ran great, really liked the new tires. Loved the new pavement.

Getting ready for national corvette museum and doing some PM work on the car, 4 track weekends so far this year. Oil change, brake fluid flush, (Hawk pads still look good), greased calipers, tranny and diff got fresh oil too. Also put on a H&R cup kit given to me by one of my build followers :-) Hi

Great build thread! I saw you took the factory sport seats out. What seats did you put back in? What harness are you using?

Thanks for the compliment, kept the factory seats. Decided to wait until cage goes in to do fixed back seats. I did get a set of Schroth 4 point quick fit which is a huge improvement over 3 point belt.

Treated myself to some nice hood latches. After looking at cars at the track and suggestions from friends on Facebook SpecE46 decided on this location and direction. Lots of measuring and re-measuring. Put several layers of masking tape on the hood and used jigsaw saw with a fine tooth blade. On the underside used Dremmel with cut off disk.

Car ran great. No problems. Driver did okay. NCM is a great track if you haven't been you need to go. It was really hot and had no cooling issues. Biggest problem was push in slow corners like Sum Bitch and Rock House. Anyone have front camber plates that fit stock suspension they would like to get rid of? Will post videos soon, spin in 1a/1b. And almost rear ending a corvette going into Turtle Alley who over braked.

The rules state if you remove door cards and keep windows it must be covered with at least .06 aluminum panel. I got a 4'x8' sheet from NGlantz for $80! Im also making a cover for the rear shelf and seat area. I also didn't like the looks and functionality of using the latch from the door card and just bolting it to the door like I have seen others do. What I really liked was the latches in Porsche GT3 cup cars. Using some scrape aluminum .9 and old bicycle parts I fabricated my own latch. I was able to cut the end of the door cable and shorten the housing without removing it from the door. If anyone is interested can provide more details but it was pretty easy. I plan on covering the panel with carbon fiber vinyl and changing the latch pull strap to red when I get a chance to make it to the fabric store.
I LOVE the Porsche cup car influence on your door handle straps... brilliant.

Installed some UUC camber plates from E46Fanatics member rmz before the NASA weekend at Road America this past weekend. What a big difference, hardly any push. Brake pads still had some left but because it was Road America put on a new set of DTC 60's Also want to thank Turner Motorsport, VAC Motorsports, AKG Motorsport, Winding Road Racing and EFab Motorsports for your support.

Had an awesome time at Road America! My kids came up on Saturday and took them for a ride. My first 3 day driving weekend. Car ran perfect! No problems except for the occasional fuel starv in the carousel (my bad; need to pay closer attention to the fuel gauge). Worked on my cornering technique, braking earlier letting the car settle and carrying more speed from turn-in to apex. Friday was on track with HPDE4 and TT cars, good experience driving with more open passing rules and drivers with more experience. Did some side by side/passing drills on Saturday and Sunday. Also some close driving in a couple of sessions, one time the other driver spun 360 in the Kink with No Contact! Amazing! If you have never been suggest getting to Road America what an awesome place! Will get videos posted soon.

EdP. I haven't done anything yet. I have heard installing secondary pump and gas gauge doesn't work. What are you installing? Have to do something, starts acting up around 3/8's full
