Got a nail about ~2" from edge of tire

So my Michelin 4S got a fukin nail in it about 2" from the edge. I got it patched but wanted to hear some comments if this had compromised the tire on the track?

i've tracked on patched tires. as long as it wasn't near the sidewall. if you do ever notice vibrations or anything indicating belt separation, then obviously you'd have to retire it.

I was thinking of having it patches from the inside versus being plugged as it is today, would that matter?
