M54 Block Bolt questions
For those out there that have done an engine rebuild/upgrade.
I am rebuilding and upgrading my M52TU25B to a M54B30.
I am building it as a hot street engine and looking for around 350hp crank.
The build for those interested is:
CP pistons, hard anodised and coated.
TotalSeal gapless rings.
ported head, fully coated.
CatCams 266/258 or similar.
ID 1050x injectors.
N54 oil pump.
I am going to timesert the head bolt holes and fit ARP2000 head studs(still M10).
Should I do the same for the main cap studs?
Power is knowledge, So share the knowledge!!

I have rebuilt an M54 but not with the HP goal you have. I always time-sert the blocks, but haven't used studs yet. I do know the Main Cap bolts are pretty damn sturdy. If there is a failure in your operating assembly it likely won't be there IMO. Certainly use new bolts and tighten to spec.
