Facelift Projector Retrofit Coupe/Convertible

Hey all!
My neighbor had a set of facelift halogens for his E46 coupe he swapped out with some Depo ones off of Ebay and gave me his old ones for free. I think the only issues with them is the adjustment knob is broken on one. Nevertheless, I am wanting to retrofit some higher quality projectors in that set rather than mine because my housings on my bi-xenons are rather messed up and deteriorated. I have found older threads of this being done with FXR projectors and Mini H1 from theretrofitsource.

Was looking for some guidance on what I will need i.e. the best projectors that will fit in the housing since the housing is limited on size (I believe 2.5 inch projectors)

And I do plan on writing up a DIY on how to since the only ones out there are outdated and I do have a lot of extra time on hand from this Coronavirus.

Any guidance or if anyone has already done this please let me know down below!

Thanks!
